How pages are built

  • Pages use headings, landmarks and lists in their proper roles, with a “Skip to main content” link.
  • Everything works with a keyboard, and the element in focus always has a visible outline.
  • Form fields have visible labels. Errors are described in words next to the field and in a summary that links to each field, not by color alone.
  • Search suggestions follow the WAI-ARIA combobox pattern, and the number of matches is announced.
  • Colors are chosen to meet WCAG AA contrast in both the light and dark color schemes.

How it is checked

  • Automated browser tests run the axe-core accessibility engine against the WCAG 2.2 level A and AA rules on every type of page.
  • Browser tests operate the search box and forms with the keyboard alone.
  • The code is checked with accessibility lint rules on every change.

Known limitations

  • Automated tools find only some accessibility problems. A full manual review with screen readers has not been completed yet.
  • Formulas are written in MathML. Most current browsers display it, but how well screen readers read it aloud varies between screen reader and browser combinations.
  • The contact and correction pages prepare emails through your email app. If no email app is set up, use the copy buttons and paste the text into any email service.
  • Any ads are supplied by Google and third-party advertisers. Their content is outside the site’s control and may not meet the same standard.
